Monthly Meetings
LMUG holds monthly meetings in central London for members and guests.
Our special interest groups (SIGs) are run by volunteer members to share and teach knowledge of the programs they use. SIGs range from Mac OS X (for beginners) to iMovie to Photoshop or whatever else you use! We aim to have SIGs meetings frequently, as topics arise.
We also supplement meetings with a Newsbyte presentation of the latest doings at Apple and the Mac community, and an after hours session called Apple Core, looking in-depth at the internals of the Mac OS and network computing.
All our Forums are on the second Monday of each month* and visitors are most welcome for an initial charge of £3.00 (refunded when you join). They take place downstairs at the Hobgoblin pub where a tasty and good value Thai menu is available. You may of course bring down a drink from the main bar (upstairs) but smoking is prohibited.
Meetings start at 7.00 pm and finish at around 9.00. You can find your way there using this map.
*Please make sure you confirm the date of the next meeting (on the home page) as this may change due to clashes with Bank Holidays or other events.
New members
We are always trying to boost LMUG member numbers so that, among other things, the strength of our voice in the international Mac community may be enhanced. You are reminded that valuable subscription concessions are available for your bringing new blood into the Group. For introducing a student or senior citizen, you earn 3 month's free subscription and for a full member, 6 months. There is no limit to the number of free months earned in this way.
