WWDC Keynote Summary

Parents can set up a schedule and choose which apps are available to kids at different times of the day. Schedules work hand in hand with Time Allowances, allowing parents to offer extra time to watch a movie on the weekend.

Apple is introducing Apple Intelligence, a next-generation AI technology that makes Apple products more personal and useful, with a new architecture centered around the user and their needs, and a new version of Siri called Siri AI.
Siri AI uses Apple Intelligence capabilities, including personal context understanding, app actions, on-screen awareness, image understanding, and access to broad world knowledge, making it a more capable and conversational assistant.
Apple Intelligence is built with privacy in mind, using on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute to ensure that user data is not stored or accessible to Apple or anyone else.

Siri AI is available across various Apple platforms, including iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and visionOS, with tailored experiences for each platform, such as integrating Siri into Spotlight on Mac.

Siri AI is a new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, enabling rich conversations, Visual Intelligence, and integrated tools for writing, available in English initially with plans to expand to more languages.
Apple Intelligence is integrated across various apps, including Safari, Passwords, Messages, and more, to simplify daily tasks such as browsing, communication, and schedule management.
Specific apps like Safari, Messages, and Calendar utilize Apple Intelligence to provide features such as tab organization, one-tap suggestions, and event scheduling using natural language, making it easier to stay organized and focused.

Apple is introducing a new Image Playground experience that allows users to generate images using natural language and modify them with touch, and it’s integrated across the system.
The Photos app is getting new Apple Intelligence capabilities, including Clean Up, Extend, and Spatial Reframing tools, which use on-device spatial models and Private Cloud Compute to enhance photos.

Apple Intelligence features, including image generation, will be available for free with the latest software releases, with some features having daily usage limits, and increased access available with iCloud+ subscription plans.
